Addition and Changes to the Rules and Regulation by Perodua

Attire

All team members are required to wear thier institutions official attire for the occasion. Team members are requires to bring thier staff/student ID for identification purposes.

Passes

All 20 team members are required to register on 20th June 2009 and receive their passes. team members without the passes will not be allowed into the restricted area.

Audience

Each institution id allowed ONE busload (40-44 seater) of spectators for the event. the total allowed is 40-44 spectators, 20 team members plus 1 VIP car. Due to the size of the circuit, we have to limit the number of people during the event. parking will also be an issue, so we strongly urge the institution to understand this limitation.

Driving directions

Directional buntings will be placed along the highway to facilitate the drivers

Parking

1 VIP parking pass will be given out to each individual institution during the visit by Perodua Personnel. Buses are allocated specific parking spots.

Drivers

All drivers are to be present for all three days of event (pre-race days 18-19/06/09, race day 20/06/09). Each team is allowed two drivers

For insurance purposes, please forward personal particulars of the appointed drivers to Ellerique Shamsuddin before 1 June 2009. The drivers will also be weighed during the event to ensure they are not below the 50kg threshold.

for safety reason, drivers are to be properly attired, i.e. helmet, full racing suit, gloves and proper racing shoes. Only each institution's logo is allowed on the racing attire. no other external sponsor logos are allowed.

Insurance

All attendees (inclusive of team members, spectators, etc) are covered by blanket insurance (public liability insurance) throughout the three-day event. The only item not covered in the insurance policy taken out are the race cars as they are fully modified cars and not road worthy. We advise to exercise utmost caution during race to ensure the safety of everyone

Race Marshals

professional race marshals will be employed by Perodua to facilitate the running of the event. There will be pre-race briefing on the 19th June and prior to the race on 20th June 2009

Security, Ambulance and Fire Rescue

services will be provided by the organizers. However, each institution must equip their car with a 1 kg fire extinguisher.

Presentation

Each institution will be allocated a booth measuring 10' by 10' during the event. each booth will be provided with power supply, one table and two chairs. there will be 4 presentation boards with each board measuring 1m (width) by 2.5m (height). 's car Before the race begins, each individual institution's car will be placed beside thier respective booths. Each car will be sealed with a tamper proof seal on the fuel cap to ensure each car are not tampered with.

Race

The race will be flagged-off at 2.30 p.m. The cars will have to be moved from exhibition booth to racetrack prior to the start of the race. The cars will also be filled with 1 litre of Petronas Primax fuel during this time. thee cars will be released 2 by 2 with a total of 6 rows of cars. Cars are to run until they run out of fuel. The cars with no more fuel are to stop off the racing line so as not to hinder the other cars still on track. The race winner will only be announced once the distance and penalties (if any) are calculated
